two down; three to go

So anti-climactic. Turning in the final project this morning in class just didn't seem fitting to all the work that went into it.

Oh well. It's done. I'm glad. Nothing else needed.

So everybody put your best suit or dress on;
let's make believe that we are wealthy for just this once.

you. pay attention.

I can't stand Evanescence. And that's what filling this place right now. I went here so I wouldn't get distracted and could compose my papers. And now...well, you get the idea. Dante's inferno. I've got to move. There. That's better.

Ha. I finally figured out what I'm going to get a certain someone for Christmas. I feel dumb that this idea didn't hit me until tonight. But I'm relieved now, now that I know what to get them.

I love this weather. It's finally feeling like it should: cold! I love it. So much. I'm glad to be traveling opposite of instinct this winter. North. To where I like.

So much that has been good this past week. Sunday was just that. Sunday. End of story. This was a week that I thought was going to be stress-free. Yes, two papers as finals was all I had to get done. Not much at all. Then there was an entire week before my first exam. Then the parking garage fell on me; I had no idea what was in store. So much that suddenly needed to be done. I don't know; maybe I care about things too much.

I don't know. Really. I don't know. Maybe I should stop caring so much. I flipped Tuesday night. Literally. I completely lost it. I couldn't compose a single sentence coherently in my head, let alone aloud to anyone I was speaking to. The dam was opened; the flood waters poured forth. But tonight, even though I've still got one project breathing down my neck, I have no stress. It'll get taken care of. And so will everything else. And it makes my outburst Tuesday night seem immature and stupid.

So much in this past semester that I've figured out. That I've been taught. As much as I'm ready to leave and go somewhere, I really don't know. Much. At all.

i can't process my thinkingness

"The views point in this story..."

Smooth Danny, really smooth.

My eyes are glazing. I want a Dunkin' Dounts that is open 24hrs. a day so I can my a donut run now.

bed. now. goodnight.

this is not how it's supposed to feel

I mean, come on--it's December! I sat out at the river in a t-shirt today; it's not supposed to be that warm. I want cold. NOW!

This weekend, I:

  1. Moved people to a third floor apartment;
  2. slid down a staircase on a mattress; and,
  3. drove a 30 foot truck.
Mattress sledding is really something I should get into. I'm glad I've gotten beyond restraining myself from being stupid.

Driving that truck really made me think. There I was, seeing the road from a much higher height than would normally be seen from a compact sedan. There's those little thoughts that enter your head when you're young; I've always been intrigued by truck drivers. I mean, you get paid to travel. And driving that moving truck around Columbia this weekend made me realize how much I still have that desire inside of me.

I'm insecure about not being insecure. Yes, I'm crazy.

don't go

It's hard to believe that today is the last day of November. It feels like just yesterday we were driving back from Pennsylvania.

down with viruses

Only the shallow know themselves. Oscar Wilde
I look at my semi-abandoned weblog and realize why it's in such a condition-I haven't sat down in front of a computer connected to the internet and spent enough time to compose anything in nearly a month. The past month has been, for lack of any better terms, interesting. So many lessons. Seemingly so little time in which they've been acquired.

But it brings me to my current status: There are times that I'm glad me and my roommate share things with each other. Then, there are other times when I despise the fact that we do.

Living in such close proximity to another human does have its advantages; however, the drawbacks include the fact that germs such as acute viral nasopharyngitis get transmitted much more easily than if two humans live separately.

As I'm emulating Frogger (and if you have to click on that link, I pity you) on Gervais Street this morning, it occurs to me that the fact that my nose is runny and my throat is aching probably is not a good thing. The fact that I'm popping Tylenol every six hours or so to remain functional does not indicate good things either. Incidentally, it's serouisly hard to dry-swallow pills when you're throat is aching.

I hate being sick. Aching doesn't bother me. What irritates me is it that seems the volume control has been turned to 185. Yes, the music still plays, but discerning any form what's being listened to is almost impossible.

This is what I feel like right now.

CWC

The cold burns at the lungs in your chest.

This is how I begin my cold weather conditioning. Forty degrees. Nothing but a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, and a pair of shoes and 4 miles of road in front of me. I did it in 30 minutes. Pretty good for my first time running in the cold this year. November and May are the two months I both hate and love. But it brings thoughts I my head. I can't help but think that I'm going to the be slowest one in January if I go back to Hershey. This is why I cannot fail. I will not allow anyone else to put me in the back of the line. If they even pick me at all. Here we go.

Anyway, I learned this week in house church that I need to be a cowboy when I grow up [like I'll ever grow up].

mostly how i feel

frail enough for fighting; throat dry enough for talking; confused enough to know directions; still enough to be trembling; see enough to know I'm blind; home enough to know I'm lost; cynical enough to believe
