Not going in to work today meant one important thing: I had no reason to leave my bed for the duration of the day.
That is a little misleading; I did get up at 11:30. Then I loafed, voted, and cleaned hair from a drain.
I hate this, though. The weekends no longer feel like weekends. Only a few days in to the last semester, and already I'm ready for it to be over with. I have to look at airset to tell me that it's only been seven days of class that have happened so far.
Complicating things even further is the stupid reader that I need for two more of my classes. Books, the ones that cost a fortune to purchase, are bad enough. But now I have to buy two bound reams of paper that the copy store has marked up exorbitantly, simply because it says "ENGL388" on the front.
I think the worst part of it all is the fact that none of my classes have anything to do with my major. So it seems like I'm back in freshman year taking stupid required classes that I need for reasons unknown. Granted, I'm getting through it. But it's just one more thing to make me await May a little more anxiously.
I'm ready to not have work from class hanging over my head at all times. But there are decisions to be made; this is why I have been given time.
And I know, I know there is joy endowed.
