Food poisining isn't fun. At all.
As I'm getting ready for work yesterday, I ate lunch. And, what at the time I thought of as no consequense, I finished the bottom of the carton of chocolate milk. I then drove off to work.
Thirty minutes later, I was heaving my cookies and laying on my office floor. I was nauseated, quivering, and curled in ball. It was all I could to reach my radio and alert my supervisor.
It felt like I got hit by a train. I never want to do that again.

speaking of 8am...
However, it's the getting up (read: out of bed) that's the problem. But since I've got an 8am class for the next two weeks, hopefully, it'll be better than 8am's have been in the past. Granted, it's been much easier than in the past (and getting up at 7:30a for the entire summer has definately helped), but I'm still trying to work through my inital hatred of the 8am schedule block.

here we go again
Of course, three weeks after it's supposed to be posted, my professor posts the grade for my class. It just adds to the rest of the fun that these past couple days have been.
I officially hate the financial aid office. As in, Star Wars Death Star laser hate.
Final note: don't park somewhere you're not supposed to. If you do, the towing company will come and take your lunch money.

internet-less
I think my lack of an internet connection is a big reason for letting my blog go unused for the past several weeks.
Oh well.
Maybe I'll fix that later.

America's Star, pt. 2
Tonight, I'm pulling my first all-nighter since...well, last semester. My internship finished two weeks ago, but, because of the university's policy regarding such academic activity, I still have several things to finish to receive course credit and a grade for the unpaid internship.
Which brings me back to Friday. The professor who was supposed to let me know when things were due (who, I might mention, hadn't contacted me since June) finally emailed me on Friday afternoon (right before I left) letting me know that I had two papers and an evaluation due on Wednesday afternoon.
Fastforwarding to right now, I'm sitting in C[coffee shop]s researching the 8-10 page research paper. And, of course, I've already changed the topic.
Sitting on the porch one night, Michael and I started talking about the attachment to a certain street in Cola. Regardless of its slope, I can't deny the role it and about fifteen people associated with said street have played in my life. I am not looking forward to finishing school. Well, leaving Cola. School is hit-or-miss most of the time.
I don't know what God's planned. But I can't wait to find out. And this summer has allowed this to become one of the first times I've been able to say that in a while.

the next three days
Friday, before leaving town for the weekend, I found out that I've got two papers due by Wednesday.
Plus, an evaluation that I have to fax tomorrow and get back before Wednesday. Looks like I better get started.
Side note-I really like my new haircut. Simple. Easy. Buzz. That is all.

this one's for you
Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true
Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side
Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all
A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

you think you know who you are. you have no idea
I have no clue where I will be one year from tomorrow.
It is a frightening thought, yet comforting at the same time.
